Thanks for the 'Active Captain' recommendation. We never had Internet before the IPad and it's time to start using it.

The very first thing I should have done was abort! We were on our 16th hour which probably contributed to a wrong or slow decision on continuing in. I didn't know the Admiral jumped to the dock and would have stopped her If I had known. The call for help was a desperate attempt.

I never like going into an area I don't know and often take an easy tie up and walk where I've been told to go. I was yelled at in Ft. lauderdale for doing that. I guess the office didn't like me telling them I wouldn't go where they told me to go.

No damage to the boat other than a bit of rubbing compound needed at the bow.

A good learning experience indeed and this is after more than 25,000 miles on the boat. Always learning.
