Neat! The first sail of the season gets better every year.

But the second, the next day was even better. I almost gave up in the light northwesterly but kept trimming and we started to go. Pretty soon we sailed across the bay threading the islands between, and finally home. 21.8 good miles of testing stuff, all's well for a new season.

In between, we tucked way into Cabot Cove for the night. We rowed the length up to a babbling brook that with the birds, were the only sounds we heard for hours. Not a whiff of air overnight, the boat didn't move except up and down about 10 feet. Caught the sunrise,...... and took a few photos,... ...and then had coffee with a whitetail doe(she had spruce tips)
