A few years ago I helped deliver a boat from San Francisco Bay to La Paz, Mexico. My “sort-of-son” acted a the third crew member. His did well.

As we were on the final leg into La Paz, we had one beer each. It HIT ME that this boy, who I held in my arms not long after his birth, was NOW able to legally drink!
