One thing I read was one mans dead battery, is several more seasons for another.
The thing that I've seen over the years when I have several deep cycle batteries onboard, is they do serve notice in advance compared to the newest battery in the lot on my boat. I can tell the age, in relation to each other, of the 3 at a glance with a voltage meter.
The problem is figuring out the season before,... they're not worth keeping.
