I agree with your observations. I haven't had this in the water, but have photos that show the stern is at or slightly below waterline. An additional observation: With my former Boston Whalers, it has been established that for best performance (at speed) the AV plate should be parallel with or up to 1 inch above the bottom line of the hull. I've found that to be true for power boats. Obviously, it makes little difference in an auxiliary motor. Thanks again for all the responses...
