Thanks Jon. Do you suppose learning to sail on Barnegat Bay in the 60's brings it on?

I do recall there wasn't too much wind there for our plywood Sailfish, or the Lightnings I raced on. But we went sailing anyway, probably the same days you did.

But now we're old.

You'll like this.

My friend R- never really sailed until a few years ago when he bought a nice little 22'er. He has two great sons, one a best friend of my son. The sons are becalmed in outer Rockport Harbor, and this is the story I get at one of our Harborques.

Ipones connect ship to shore,..."Dad, we're in the boat, the motor won't start and the wind died,..."

R- calls P-, who has a power boat in the harbor. "Hey P-, can you go out and tow the boys back in?". P- replies,"R-, I'm in New Hampshire...", R- replies back,..."Well, how soon can you be back?" P- final reply,..("click,....)

So R- then presses friend G- (who sailed around the world with wife on 30'er). "Hey G- any chance you could tow the boys in, the wind died?" G- is standing with friend C- who is a world famous multi hull racer. C- looks up and says to G-, "So how come the leaves are moving on the trees?"

And finally the Harbormaster tows them in. Nobodys fault. I think people are so funny.
