In Response To: Quite the Admiral . . . any relation to Beaufort? Like I said ()
Most of what I cited turned up as I was trying to understand why warnings weren't issued sooner. In our area we have a reverse 911 phone call system. It might or might not have been of use because of the speed of the storm. I just found this story as I was wondering if the subject has been discussed at the NWS (and I assume it has - they take their jobs very seriously) and found this article that says there has been a lot of discussion. that's good news going forward.
