is this an actual MiFi device? If so what model number?

Verizon press release seems to indicate that this area is just now getting coverage... as of May 10, 2012, they announced...

"Verizon Wireless 4G LTE service is now currently available in Nassau County, as well as the Huntington area, south shore, and eastern end of Suffolk County. With the planned network expansion, residents in areas throughout Long Island will have access to the nation’s fastest 4G network."
