A 'True" story from a Yard Manager in Maine

Him to me. "Let me tell you a story, Son"
"Year ago a lobsterman comes in with fuel problems
He was down on his luck, to start with, and embroiled in heavy competition with a former stern-man who brought his own boat--so the guy was pulling his own traps and pots.
I looked at his set up and asked what was happening. He said" The engine dies, then runs for sometime often a few days, then dies again."
We cut open his tank in frustration, as it had only a small inspection port and pumped pout the fuel.
WE found broken light bulbs had been put into his tank. The little glass flakes floated up to clog the dipstick and then floated down and swirled around the tank.
"What happened?" I asked
'Well that's a story for another day. Its a few more years before the Statute of Limitations, runs out"
