Otherwise I might have been quite tempted to go with the "age" and call it a day. Was somewhat disappointed to not find something... car batteries at least have punch out dates.

The issue with taking it somewhere to test is depending first that the tester (store clerk) understands testing, and second, is not just motivated to sell a battery.

I'll run some tests on my own first.
