No length factor. I squared R losses are very high because power loss is caused by current, not voltage. That is why power transmission lines are very high voltage - to reduce the current and therefore, the power loss. That is why 12 volt wiring has to be so heavy (compared to 110V) - to convey the same amount of power at a lower voltage the resistance of the wire must be lower.
