Several years ago, we were anchored in Merchants Row when a small power boat came in and anchored. I went over by dingy and said 'hello' - single gentleman was from Cleveland. He'd trailered the 24' boat to Stonington and launched it. Planned to spend a week or two, then trailer it home. Made infinite sense to me. He's apparently trailered this boat all over the eastern seaboard & seen more coastline that I have in my 30' sailboat!
