You guys have been a great help with my mattress replacement project, so now I have another question for you! For those who didn't see my last post, we are working on a 2002 Catalina 38 that took on salt water (about a foot) due to a thru hull failure. The water apparently wasn't in the boat for very long. This weekend, one of my jobs will be to wash down everything in the cabin to get rid of all the salt water that is left from cursory cleaning done previously. Amazingly, all the interior wood is in good shape, though we will sand and varnish the cabin sole just due to normal wear and tear. I'd like to treat the drawer faces, cabinetry, etc. with some kind of wood treatment that will not only make it look nice, but will be good for the wood. We are not going to sand and varnish everything now---that will be for another year! Suggestions??
Thanks!
Kathrine
