Extending our West Marine double extension boathook to its limit is ocassionally useful
However, with age (about 5 years) it is getting stiff.

We sail about 5 month/year, and boat is in storage rest of time.
So far, for storage, we have washed it in fresh water, and dried it, before storing it compressed

Any better suggestions?
WD 40?
Drying spray-on teflon lubricant?
