I have one that really locks up when I put just a tiny amount of twist on the lock. It becomes very very difficult to unlock and change. It is like the little half twist I give it, translates to two turns somehow.

Recently I put it into a vice just to unlock it.

I have not tried WD on it, for fear of it never locking again.
