I'm not sure you can get variable targets; and, don't know about AIS?

  - Yeah, I am not seeing any great advantage on just displaying that data.
    - Similar to older Raymarine
      - Thanks Jim... that might make it worth it.

        It looks to me like you can send a target "point" to the plotter too.
