Damn, this is one of the saddest passings I've heard of in awhile... My own re-build of my own boat is NOTHING compared to what Bob did, but at least I've managed to sail her a bit. Hate to think of only being able to imagine "what might have been", but after thinking about it, I believe with the completion of a work of art like RESTLESS, that alone would have been plenty... I can't even begin to comprehend the scope of a project like that, to me it's reminiscent of the work of a Renaissance artisan who might have spent his entire life building a single cathedral, or similar...

Never had the pleasure of meeting Bob, but like others here, I exchanged a few very pleasant emails with him, he seemed the consumate gentleman... One of my brother's old Navy buddies went to high school with Bob, and confirmed he was just a wonderful, wonderful guy...

I'll definitely be raising a glass or two to Bob, and sure hope to see RESTLESS out there some day...
