This is the table of Symmetri, my prior boat at the time I bought it.

...And this is what it looked like after I sanded, applied new teak veneer, sanded again and varnished. I used 7 coats of Minwax Helmsman Spar Urethane from the local True Value hardware store, and sanded with 220 grit between coats. It took 7 coats to fill the pores. I used the boat three more years and the table looked as good when I sold it.
