Not that I have a lot of recent experience to go by but . . .
Before I quit doing boat reviews, the major European builders were all going to short LP headsails and bigger mainsails. In lighter air, as soon as you turned downwind, they would slow down.
The J/Boats are all designed around asymmetricals for off the wind, and you might want to consider one if you go with a 95% jib or similar.
On your boat, designed to carry 135% etc., you will be able to carry a full 95% jib long after you start reefing the main. (OK, her I go, telling you how to sail your own boat).
