I posted these last year. This family cleared customs in Rockport Harbor coming across the North Atlantic(to Canada first) mid winter, from Holland. The two girls(red) immediately shoveled the dock for their dad. A nice family to meet. Single handed racers and the Slocum loner types of the world get all the press, but show me a guy who crosses oceans with his family, that's the one I want to meet. .

They were headed south from here(then back across to home), so I asked the dad if he wanted any info on harbors to the south.

He nonchalantly said, "Thanks, I think we're ok, we've done this before". Gone in a few days, this is all they left behind.
