at my order. I was wrong on my ala carte statement. The connectors need waterproof caps which are purchased separately.

Didn't quite understand the "U wasn;t going to bother with covers".

The covers are necessary to keep both ends of the connectors clean and dry when not connected. They are so cheap that even if you don't intend to use them - get them. If you take your mast down you will need them.
