coming fast. I just bought a 10" ASUS tablet ($350), have loaded the Navionics app and another on it for cheap $$. I plan on logging my summers trips on it and using it for navigating too, will also have the Active Capt database available.

I recognize the value of the dedicated plotter, (I'm not buying a new one though and I don't pay retail) tablets, phones, etc all are changing the game big time, in fact Raymarine is giving away a 7" tablet if you buy a new plotter....

I can get a Verizon signal just about anywhere on this part of the coast not always 4G LTE but data coverage, just about anywhere (except some spots on MDI).....for $10/month. The tablet I have has a GPS sensor that appears more accurate than my 10 year old Standard Horizon plotter.
