Just to now go to a website and dial in chart detail of an area you need info on here at home. Then overlay or go to a full google map for roads, paths, even unknown beaches to land on. It's a phenomenal tool for research for me these days.

I'm still running an ancient(now) CP and I'm not sure which way to go. I still think I want something attached to the boat, then again, I don't have lots of gizmo space.

Some of my paper charts are so dog eared, only I know how to put them together. But I'm not in a hurry to go out and buy outdated charts(soon after) to replace them. Weird times, better to wait than to buy the latest-greatest-soon outdated,...
