Many thanks for all the advice. We might do ICW to Norfolk and then offshore to NYC, or go offshore at Beaufort and straight to NYC.

Believe me, I'd rather wait for warmer and calmer weather, but since our objective is Nuuk, Greenland by June we are looking for ways to sail faster/more directly/with less stops.
