I've always been into rowing myself, but never competitively... built a nice little Annapolis Wherry from Chesapeake Light Craft years ago, I just love that boat. when I hit the lottery, I'm buying a Deerfoot 78, just so I can take that boat along cruising... (grin)
You should definitely buy that PS 40, what a sweet boat... There was one rafted alongside us in Bermuda a couple of years ago, you couldn't do much better than that...
Yeah, still delivering boats from time to time, but that business really went in the dumper since the recession, and I've been running sail boats mostly of late... Both powerboat manufacturers I used to do a lot of work for, are no longer in business, and a lot of my long time clients are now out of boating, or dead... Gotta get off my ass, and start trying to drum up a bit more business, I suppose, although I'm now about as busy as I really want to be... I want to do more cruising on my own boat, after all... Still taking some pics from time to time, but I'm finished shooting motorsports, my gig finally came to an end when Marlboro finally got kicked out for good, and nothing else will ever compare with that deal... I'd finally had it with the travel, anyway - even First Class gets old, after awhile... (grin)
You're living in a great place, you should look up a regular here named Nat who sails an Islander 32 out of Belfast, and works at Hamilton Marine... And that other gasbag Tom Young from Rockport, he's worth tracking down... A pretty good guy, even if he does think I'm too hard on kroozers who punch out in mid-ocean, simply because their damn rudder fell off... (grin, bigtime)
Welcome back, Chris - still a great crowd around here...
