A crooked 6" piece of nearby sapling? Scallop shells?

If you want rustic, and you have the time(what's your time worth if you're having fun?), fresh saplings with some crooks in them will be easy to cut, whittle ease the ends, drill 2 holes for screws or bolts. You'll need a fast crook that will stand proud enough to get a finger or two behind. Horizontal on the drawers, vertical on the doors?

If you want sea, shells might be fun. You'll need stout ones, put a spacer block behind, screw(have spares onhand). They stand proud for a good grip.
