• Running into fixed objects (or slowly shifting ones, anyway) happens...
  • Gotta admit, the pic in the story confused me (huge pic)
    • I was confused too. The "Fire Department" not USN , etc.
    • A better picture (but not too informative)...
    • Only thing stoopider in this story than the Navy running a boat into the Charleston jetty...
      • Sounds a bit low to me
  • Simple Culpable negligence.
