I'll tell you that a few builders of the smaller Nutshell, after using them, said they loved them, but wished they'd built the bigger one. But you probably guessed that.

I never saw any option for a smaller hard dinghy over the years with a family. We needed a real boat especially for safety purposes. Now that we could use a 2 person rowing/sailing dinghy, I'd be disappointed in it's abilities over a larger boat.
