Thanks for all the ideas.
You convinced me that we should to attack the leak soon
We arrived in Bodo (Arctic Norway) last night, and went to the local Volvo dealer this morning.
At that point I had tried unsuccessfully to get the injector out, despite more than an hour of wrestling.
Volvo guys were too busy to come to the boat, but without even asking me my name or the name of the boat lent me a sllde hammer and an adapter for our injector to pull the injector and a clever wire brush to clean out the injector seat.
Took me a minute to pull the injector and not long to clean the sleeve/seal out.
Some damage was apparent. After a fruitless search of all tool shops in town (about 5) for the proper tool to remachine the bottom of Volvo's poorly designed sleeve, one of the mechancs suggested we try a tool he had made. It worked well, taking about an hour.
All is reassembled and running fine now. Cost zero.
I am no fan of Volvo, but these guys here in Bodo are fantastic. So friendly and helpful that their yard will probably get us for winter storage, although they do not know yet that we are planning another summer here.
