If you look closely at the extreme top of the frame, you can see the narrow barrier beach that separates Barnegat Bay from the ocean... Mantoloking is in the far distance, about 1/3 across the top from the left, and that is where the breach occurred, creating a new inlet, and allowing the ocean to pour into my end of the bay, causing a water level at least 4 feet higher than ever seen before...

Gandolfini's house survived Sandy with minimal damage, too bad he's no longer around to enjoy it... I saw him on the beach a couple of times over the years, and by all accounts from the residents of his neighborhood, he was a wonderful neighbor, and considered to be a very good, down-to-earth guy...
