Beautiful! Yes there are many good anchorages on the western side.

I was impressed after seeing so much of the east coast that has very little in the way of anchorages.

We were so pleased with the public trans system. The trains especially, which take you through the highlands and along the coast were a real joy to use. And with the weather we had, it was an especially handy way to travel and meet people.

It's a such a unique combination of ancient and remote in Scotland. Then there is the inevitable urban sprawl as well to remind you how much of the country is unspoiled. It gives a sense of how much of the developed world has been botched.
