Hi All:
I good buddy, a liveaboard, is contemplating installing a new Alder Barbour Super Cold Machine (without the water cooling option) on his cutter. He has no refrigeration now. But he understandably hates to run his engine at anchor, or at any other time for that matter, and all his electrical needs are more than satisfied by his solar panels (Florida and Bahamas cruising area).
Can anyone tell me what his real life amp draw of the Alder Barbour, per 24 hour period, is likely to be? This would assume that he would keep the frig essentially full of food or the food displaced with water jugs as it is was depleted. He is understandably reluctant to get into the engine running requirement mode after years of precious silence.
Thank you in advance for your input.
Ron
