Engel Fridge-Freezers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last month the temp out was in the 90s, beside our Engel we had 1 (1), 85 Watt solar panel out and it would keep up with ALL (LED lights, VHF-FM, AM/FM radio 12 hours + per day, and a small TV for an hour or two a day for a week at a time. We have a 300 Ah battery bank.

I had our Link-10 on when the Engel kicked on and watched the draw. It started at 2.4 Ah. Then in about 20 to 45 seconds, the draw dropped to about 1 to 1.5 or so Ah for the remainder of the run.

I would advise your friend to build a shelf and just drop in one of the portable units. But if he is bent on a built-in, they make one of those also.
