and it's not just the noise and the wakes.
My in-laws live on a creek about that size off Chesapeake Bay. One day this summer I was down on their dock (my patrol) when a neighbor across the creek started whizzing around on his PWC, then zipped down the creek. Next thing I saw was the otter heading across the creek from the den on our side. I watched that otter every inch of the way hoping that the PWC wouldn't come back to do more wheelies . . . to my relief he just trundled back to his dock. I don't know if an otter could dodge a PWC.
OK, I'm an old soft curmudgeon . . . grumble grumble.
