I remember reading a few months ago about the boat 'Uncontrollable Urge' that was lost in a Southern California race and along one of the crew. The boat rudder failure on the new Colombia was one thing but the entire crew were wearing Spinlock Deckvest life jackets and 4 of the 5 didn't inflate or malfunctioned. Spinlock has some lame excuse that they were making them light so people would wear them and all manufacturers do that. HA! These people put their lives in jeopardy because they wore them. Perhaps the life jackets should have a warning like ,,, 'Do not use in case of emergency!'
