I just got an iPhone 5s which only runs iOS7. I had purchased all of the Navionics original iPhone apps, which they have abandon. These had the advantage that the map data was downloaded and kept local. In their new apps, the data is downloaded on the fly under certain conditions, not kept local. The old apps were far preferable and continued to work - until iOS 7.

I had already purchased the new US & Canada, and was forced to purchase the new Caribbean and South America to get the Bahamas. There used to be a way to select an area and have it pre-download the data for that area, however this no longer seems to be offered, even though it is still referred to in the in-app help. Or perhaps I am doing something wrong - there is no other documentation.

Anybody using Navionics on iOS7, and is there a way to pre-download the data?

Wish they hadn't changed it....believe it or not, there are still areas of the world that do not have fast, cheap internet access.
