Toward the beginning I was rooting for New Zealand. Then we went to San Francisco during the Red Bull in early September and we both thought that San Francisco was really good for the cup. The boats were spectacular and if the cup stayed the next time around might herald a new beginning and appreciation for all that is sailboat racing. If the cup went to New Zealand nothing would change.

New Zealand deserved the cup. I also believe that Oracle winning the cup was in the best interest of the future of America's Cup racing.

I'm conflicted.
