worked fairly well, not too much trouble, BUT you will use a lot of propane if you use the heater much. For weekends it might be fine, for longer term use you will go through propane much faster than just using it for cooking. Burner is a bit bigger and you have it on for a couple of hours, not just 10 minutes to cook.
New boat has diesel fired hydronic heat, quite expensive to but in as you say, but in a cold climate, a huge difference in comfort on board! Come below after a cold watch and heat right up. Simply no comparison to the Force 10. Plus diesel has twice the BTUs/gal, usually costs less, and you have lots of it on board.
