Jill and I backpacked around Europe back in 2001 and we often ran into cities (Cinque Terre in Italy) that was closed. Also, we ran into many musiemus that were closed. We had to wait around for a day or two and hope they opened up. It was a union strike.

I went to Pompeii once, spent hours on a bus, and it was closed!

It's good they are cruisers, they most likely have the time to wait it out. I worked there for a couple of years, and it's worth it! LOVE the Smithsonian!!!! And a number of the lesser visited places that should still be open like the National Geographic museum. I was VERY impressed with it.
