In Response To: Pleasant bridge tender experience. ()

San Francisco Delta cruise this last few months we called the bridges a number of times on the local hailing channel. Got NOT ONE reply! We get them to open when we called by telephone. Glad we had a phone with us.

  - Bridges will only talk to ch13, not 9 or whatever.
    - Al, take caution where you cruise......
    - Here in Florida, bridges are ch 9 and Locks are ch 13
- If you want the exact opposite try the two lift bridges on the Beauharnois Canal, part of the Seaway west of Montreal
  - No thanks..
    - I found that the bridge guys down the inter coastal through the Carolina s were very nice...
      - Except everyones favorite
