If fuel is coming out of a loosened injector pipe fitting take the hose off of the elbow, ram a screwdriver up there and see what drops out.

A friend had his engine overhauled because he had no power. After the overhaul he still had no power. Checked the exhaust elbow and it was 90% blocked. Other than low power no symptoms.
