Sounds like yo got the generator fixed no problem ...
In Response To: Heading South - Part 10 ()

we go to the Bahamas every time about this year, but not this year until later, I've heard stories of folks waiting 3 weeks, I've been shut out for long periods, but certainly not that long. Maybe a week, but it's a good time to get stuff done, because once you get there, you won't get anything done on the boat. You need to pick a time and go, even if it means leaving at night, there will be a reasonable window, there always is, and go for as long as you can, overnights, because you do not want to be stuck in Bimini for a week. Take your 36 to 48 hours and get to the Exumas, then plan on seeing everything north of that on the way back. Once you get to the N. Exumas, even on bad days you can still travel south and have fun. The worst part will be the Stream, I'd rather see 20-25 from the south than 15-20 from the north. And from NWCH Light to NAS can be ugly, but certainly doable. Remember generally speaking, add 5 knots of wind and 2-3 feet of wave height to Parker's report, always happens. if you wait for perfect weather, you may be waiting a while and things always change at the last minute. Good luck and safe travels, cheers, John
