If I read your post correctly, a higher exponent gives you effectively more capacity. I'm pretty sure I lowered my exponent and it does seem like the capacity is know underestimated, such that a given load appears to drain the battery more than it should (i.e. the remaining capacity shows smaller than it really should).

I guess I'll bump the exponent back up and play around with it from there.
