If they are below the waterline and surrounded by 40 degree water you'll probably be ok. I've had unwinterized boats in the water with high teen temps for a week with no problems. It's like floating in a warm bath compared the 14 degree air.

No doubt putting a heater aboard would be cheap insurance though...
