I was there in the Fall, the early Spring, and the late Summer. Climate was a lot better than Virginia. Sailing was better too. Probably would be the only place I would return to on the US east coast (so far). My main complaint with Maine was the lobster pots. However I would brave those again too, compared to south of there.

The climate was better in Maine, better in Toronto, better in Newfoundland, better in Nova Scotia. But I am forever spoiled by being born and raised in California.
