And that means lightly built to me so I'm not surprised stuff broke. That's as it should be, pushing the weight/strength boundaries for more speed means stuff will break.
On the other hand, with better luck or a softer hand, or something(I'm not capable of), he might have set a new record or two. That's how it goes, some win some lose.
I bet they'll bulk stuff up that broke to a more prudent level, now that the "furniture" is getting installed and records aren't as important.
KIWI SPIRIT will still be a fast boat, but it won't be as fast as it is without the furniture(same as our boats).
What I would like to see him do, is continue his "green" pursuit. Install an electric only auxilary, re-vamp his charging-storage and and cut his usage to be a fossil free cruising boat. Do that with family aboard, and now you're showing me something(I can't do that).
There's a huge challenge, more of a challenge in my mind than sailing around the world.
