I have had them...

It is a German company. Their insurance has (had?) no crew requirements for ocean passages - unlike most companies. I know someone who had a claim and had no hassle getting paid. When I was in the Med many years ago they were much cheaper than the SSCA insurance I switched from.

One downer that may not affect you. Every time I changed cruising areas they hiked the rates. After arriving in South Africa I asked for a rate reduction. I was going to be in port for four months and they raised the rate very high for the Indian Ocean. Not only did they refuse to lower the premium they told me that they would not cover American registered boats in the Caribbean. I cancelled immediately and did not have insurance again until arriving in the U.S..

That was a long time ago - before they were selling insurance in the U.S.. I had them again when we wintered in London and cruised the Baltic.
