That's pretty bad

A few years ago I overheard the local CG in Long Island Sound (NY/CT) asking a lobsterman way too much personal info... including his home phone, home address, when he left the dock and when he planned to return, etc.

My son was with me, and I jokingly asked him: "Want to go rob a house?"

I figure they already have most of that stuff if they pick up my AIS signal. That was my choice. If they started to go down that road over the VHF I'd politely cite my right to privacy and offer my registration number, cell number, and request them to call me on the private line.
