I have been working through the small punch list of items our surveyor suggested we do on the IP. While the shrinkwrap is still on I'm finishing up the projects down below. One that I can't seem to get a handle on is "Install an ELCI breaker in the incoming 120 volt system per standard yadda yadda" What the surveyor said was that all I need to do is update my AC panel with a new main breaker. HOWEVER, all I can find is a Blue Seas breaker that does not look like anything that will fit in my existing panel, or a complete $600 breaker box that is installed someplace upstream of my current panel. Anyone else installed one of these?
BTW, we talked about teak treatments for the wood down below. I looked at the Tung oil finishes available, they were part varnish and different colors. What I ended up getting and using is a Minwax product called Helmsman Teak Oil. Not sure exactly what is in it, no list of ingredients, but what a nice job this stuff does. Wipes on like a thick oil (although at 35* I suppose all oil is thick?). It soaks in, brings out the color and provides a really nice finish, not like a varnish, like oiled teak that does not fade. The smell kind of reminds me of linseed oil when I used oil paints on canvas (in a different life).
