Turned it off after the first 10 minutes. His slow and inappropriate reactions/actions made this peg my bullshit meter, and I was already frustrated watching his stupidity.
If you woke up to a loud boom, and the boat lurching to a stop, and with water above the cabin sole, water pouring in the side of the hull, you'd be on deck in a flash, right? First order of business assess the damage, and stop the ingress, right?
Or -- would you slowly mark your place in a book, put it in its place on the shelf and ignore the ingress, and walk s-l-o-w-l-y ploddingly to the companionway? If you had a floating container lodged against the hull, would you leave your boat and step onto the container to attach a sea anchor to it, for the current to pull it off? Or would you start your engine and back off?
Skip ahead, would you then set sail so the hole in the hull is to leeward and below the heeled waterline (when you could alter course to opposite tack and keep the hole above the waterline) and then ram the container AGAIN? click.
